About the Role
We’re looking for a Partnerships & Compliance Lead to own everything related to our global partnerships and regulatory compliance. This role is a mix of legal strategy, partner management, and hands-on compliance execution. You’ll work directly with the founders and external partners to ensure xPay remains fully compliant across multiple jurisdictions while enabling smooth, scalable operations with global banking and payment partners.
What You’ll Do:
Drive end-to-end onboarding onto partners like banks, processors, and payment methods
Oversee all compliance and legal functions related to global partnerships and banking relationships
Draft, review, and negotiate partner contracts, NDAs, and SLAs
Manage partnership licenses, due diligence, and regulatory paperwork with international banking and payment partners
Stay updated on fintech, cross-border, and payments regulations across multiple jurisdictions (US, EU, MENA, APAC)
Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for audits, KYC/AML checks, and regulatory reviews
Work closely with external legal counsels, banks, and payment processors to ensure compliance alignment
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners for smooth onboarding and operations
Develop internal policies to reduce compliance risks and strengthen operational readiness
Provide legal and compliance guidance to internal teams on product launches, merchant onboarding, and partnerships
What We’re Looking For:
2–6 years of experience in legal, compliance, or partnerships within fintech, banking, or payments
Proactive problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sound knowledge of AML, KYC, sanctions, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.)
Experience handling partner due diligence, regulatory filings, and audit preparation
Qualified lawyer with good contract drafting and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple global partnerships simultaneously
